I think it should be legal and accepted to be publicly naked, but I like to wear a top and panties around the house. I've tried going completely topless but it just feels wrong. I never wear pants around the house though. I would probably like the culture and attitude at a nudist colony but I've never been to one.
Temperature is one of the main reasons I wear clothes, it's 100 degrees outside but if I went naked I'd have to wear full-body sunscreen. As it is, I wear long sleeves when I go to the park and sit outside just for sun protection. I am very pale and intend to keep it that way. Inside it can get cold because the thermostat on the air conditioner isn't very accurate. I keep a blanket handy too. In cold climates or in winter there's no way I'd go outside naked, it would be miserable.
It's true that clothes can sometimes cause a problem. Some locations and cultures put too much focus on luxury brand names, and basically compete via clothes and accessories to see who can look the richest and the prettiest. It can get more than a little ridiculous. Fashion is fun and I do enjoy it though, it's one of my hobbies.
