    Questions for the Men

I'll disagree with this. Not that it is wrong, but it's case by case. Me, for instants, even as a teenager I've wanted the long term relationship. I don't know how to 'seduce' women into a one night stand. I need to be comfortable with a woman, and that takes a time investment.

    Just a rant

I'd never looked at it that way. Some good done today. :)

Licorice tea and flowers. Go out were you think it's pretty. My guess is your solitude is causing deep depression. The above is my remedy after many failed pharmaceutical attempts. Flowers of course remind of spring, and spring breaks the winter dull. Licorice... licorice root. Not anise...

Sounds like giving up. Do the best you can. Either life will change you or you will change life. Which it is doesn't matter all that much.

Happy Smile in the like menu

Why is there no normal smile when you like a post? I feel strange when I want to smile at a post and my only choice is hearted love-struck oogley eyes. I like plenty of people here, but none of you titter my twitter. I'd just like to smile. You know, like this one. :)

    Just a rant

That's a wonderful sentiment, but when I force him to help with a chore he makes it even harder just so I won't ask him again. He rejects me as a teacher. One simple example: He was trying to slice an onion and complaining about it not working to his satisfaction. He held the small end and...

What video game are you currently playing ?

Now that Joe is a millionaire there is nothing left to do but MAKE HIM GO BROKE! Buy expensive clothes. Steal cars and soup them up. Commit heinous crimes and bribe the cops. It's a shame there is no gambling, or dropping a bundle on a date. There's nothing like frivolous spending and...

    Lonely in my marriage

I'll agree with this. Isn't an affair actually cheating on two people? My wife and I drifted apart decades ago. She will never see it, but she is a selfish person that can't compromise at all. We live as roommates only because I've learned to submit. My other option is to suppress her...

For the ladies. Try to make me understand why

There is no rationalizing the human psyche. It obvious one or both of you needed something more. It might be she needs that fresh relationship. It can be an addiction. Remember the twitter in your heart when you where both new to each other? It's a drug. It sucks that the women almost...

    New here

The easiest way to let it out is to talk to people you will never meet. If you are lucky enough to find those that genuinely care about your issues it helps bushels. Of course, you'll have to expose yourself for them to find you. That can be scary. I hope you find what you need.

    Hi

Not at all. I've been a part of forums like this since the 80s. I've met some wonderful people. I have relationships with many that have surpassed the confines of the screen and we've been friends for a decade or more. Think of it like a massive mixer with people from all over the world...

    Holy spirit

The best way to find yourself is to to start by looking where you are. That reminds me of that old joke; looking in the wrong place because the light is better over here. Assuming you are not literally lost, whereas I'd recommend an atlas, you won't know where you fit in life until you try on...

    How old is old?

I look in the mirror and see a stranger looking back. It's been only over the past few years, I think. I use a gmail image I set up when the snapshot was new. That was 2006. It's still there. I think I was 52. I was still me then. I wonder where that guy went. I wonder when he left.

    How old is old?

Sitting here watching a documentary series on disasters of engineering. The current episode covers a train wreck. A survivor was interviewed to say he saw all the dead, "people, children, and old persons." I had a thought that I'd had long ago. The old people that died. My thought was...

    Family Ties

Nope. When I was a child we had big reunions at my grandmother's farm. It was all my cousins, aunts and uncles, and usually many of the neighbors. Big gatherings. But as the elders passed away the gatherings stopped. Society has changed since the latter 50s when I was a little kid...

    Drowning

Our sense of despair is cognitive. It's a feeling. Imagine if you had no wants. Had no emotional investment in society. Warm, dry and sustenance is all we need to survive. If you had those things in plenty and none of the other baggage could you would you still feel despair? We can each...
