and how old are you? my wisdom teeth is starting to hurt and im 31. i have not gotten any of them removed.

As far as I am aware, wisdom teeth are the last teeth to form. So theoretically, yours could be impacted, pressed together incorrectly, assuming they are not damaged or decayed. There are alternatives to had them removed, which I will assume is quite an ordeal.

I had mine removed in my mid 20s while I was still active duty because 2 were impacted. Besides the pain, the impacting will start to affect your front teeth as they grow in pushing all your teeth forward.
Not sure where you live, but most states have at least one dental service that will offer an initial exam including xrays and sometimes even a cleaning at an affordable rate. Or they even offer financing of their own now. (Some of them...)
Good luck! I remember it was some of the worse headaches and I have major sinus issues, too!

it hurts! so i lie in bed till i fall asleep. when i wake up the pain is gone!

I am NOT a doctor, nor a dentist....
But, try warm, salt water rinses and motrin and you can alternate tylenol every 2 hours for pain relief. If you have access to colloidal silver, I would swish some of that, too. It worked well for me when I needed a root canal.

I had mine removed late teens or early twenties, can't quite remember. I didn't go for the gas I went for freezing and man did it ever hurt when they jammed that needle into my mouth.

I had two removed from the back of my upper jaw recently, bloody hell! it hurt so much even with the freezing, so much blood too just wouldn't stop. The dentist had a real struggle to get the 2nd one out, she had her flippin' knee in my chest trying to get leverage which gave me a very nice view of her cleavage and cheered me up some what. 🦷 🪥

My uppers grew in, in my mid-twenties. They are still there and pushed all my other teeth tightly together. Dental floss will not get between them. I'm sure they will start chipping and splitting at some point.

My bottoms didn't have enough room to grow in. So, in my early 30s they cut open my gums and broke them up into smaller pieces with a chisel and then pulled the pieces out. Well, except one piece on one side which got infected. It was so painful I pretty much got lock jaw.

So, they went back in and did their thing. I was never put under during either procedure. The first procedure was really painful. The second time I didn't want to move my jaw at all for a couple weeks. I lost about 35 pounds, which I couldn't afford to loose, during that period.

Also, the doctor said, both times, that the big holes in my jaw would eventually fill in. Nope, now I have to big holes that food always gets trapped into. So, on a regular basis I have to stick a finger in my mouth and scope the food out of the holes.

However, if you let you wisdom teeth get impact and can't grow out on their own you will get lock jaw until they are removed and it will be WAY more painful for you. So, IMO, you should get them out ASAP.

Good Luck.

Not always. Sometimes they just sit there and cause no problems at all.
Wisdom teeth are weird. Some people keep them their entire life (impacted or not) and never have any problems with them. Others have a lot of problem with them, so they need to be removed. But yes, you should be getting them checked (along with the rest of your teeth) on a regular basis to make sure there are no issues with them.

I had all 4 removed at once when I was 18. I actually was jarred awake to see the "surgeon" hammering a chisel in my mouth. It was an unpleasant experience.

All 4 of mine were ripped out in one session years ago. I started having pain in my mouth and an oral surgeon said "do it now, or you'll really regret it later in life." I actually kind of regretted it right then and there, but it's now all past. I had mine for quite a while, much longer than many people do. My dad still has his, surprisingly.

Good question. I’ve had teeth issues all my life and had quite a few extracted, including molars. But no dentist has ever mentioned wisdom teeth - I assume I’m one of those people who never had them come in. Thank god, judging from some of these horror stories about chiseling teeth out! Bloody hell!!! 🤢😣😭😱

My top two wisdom teeth grew in, no problem. My bottom two came in partially.) They didn't hurt, so I didn't do anything about it. When I was about 28, I got a cavity in one of the bottom teeth. My dentist couldn't put a filling in it cause he didn't have access to the tooth. He sent me to a specialist to have them removed.

The bottom ones came out, no problem. One of the top teeth shattered when he tried to pull it out, so he had to get a grip on the root. I remember his foot on the chair beside my butt and him jossling the pliers. The nurse had both hands on my head, pressing my head down as he was pushing up. Anyhow, he got them all out. Yeah, it bled alot. I had lots of wads in my mouth and he kept changing them. Pretty sure I got stitches. Hence, no holes.

I didn't have pain after. Just jaundice for a while. Dental insurance covered it.

No. The last was taken out in my early 30s. I tried to cure the first hurting one but it was only wasting of money and time, so other were taken out as first problem appeared.

I’m glad I had them removed right from the inside of my jaw when I was in my 20s. It did hurt a little, but it was totally worth it because I was just fine when almost all of my friends had dental problems because of wisdom teeth.
I knew I had to take extra care of my teeth because I have a strong predisposition to losing them sooner. My father got same day dental implants miami when he was in his 40s, and it looks like this issue is hereditary.
So, don’t postpone it and address the issue of wisdom teeth as fast as possible, and you will be thankful to yourself later.

All 4 of mine have been removed because they didn't have enough room to grow in. (I think I was 18?).

For your tooth pain, you could try swishing gold listerine. It *might* burn but my parents swear by it.

I have two and I also had issues with them in my late 20's, but now they've settled I don't really have any problems. It's a pretty horrific procedure to get them removed so I wouldn't do that unless you really have to.
