Perhaps this thread belongs in up for debate; but, I'm putting it in, 'express yourself.'

The question I'm pondering, is, "can a free thinker and a free spirit be compatible?"

I suppose I seek your input.

I think they could be really compatible and also really not compatible...

What is your definition of a free thinker?  What is your definition of a free spirit?

I think that's definitely feasible! A free thinker and doer feels completely unhinged from society and will do anything they want and feel. I'm both a free thinker and spirit in this world! :)

I'm sorry to inform you, but you are in minority, and not majority. xD

There is national saying in my country: " You are only crazy if your craziness isn't compatible with craziness of majority of people. ".

True words. :D

I don't care about you or what you think of me. True words.

I am just saying that society doesn't like free spirits and thinkers, they want obedient slaves. Soo much about who is the clueless one here. XD
I don't care about what society or anyone else thinks of me. I'll never fit into someone else's box, I don't conform, I don't listen to many rules, and not a fan of authority.

I do what I want and don't care what anyone thinks. I don't do labels nor do I fit in a box. I like extra unordinary. I think, but I say how I feel regardless if it hurts someone else. That's their problem, not mine. I'll always be me!

Totally agree with being true to yourself, there's no other way to live. But, there's something to be said for tact. You can still say what you want while keeping the others feelings in mind. Not trying to change you, just stating an opinion for the group.

That being said I disagree with @MrLonely86 about you being in the minority. At least not where I'm from. Though I suppose that depends on how old she is... I've never asked. Perhaps she is an outlier in her demographic?

Let's be real here, 95% of people don't ask themselves some basic like life questions, they just follow 5tup1d made up society rules like they are blind robots. Other 5% do ask themselves a lot of stuff and they counter other 95% in every and each point. And my point was: 95% of people in 1st category hates the other 5%.

So I didn't call anyone any names, I was just trying to make a point.

Absolutely. I just don't care of what others think of me. I live my life how I want to live it, for me, not for others. I'm self-validated and don't seek approval from others. I'm also respectful, yet honest and direct.

By the way, I'll be 42 next month.

I give an example ... I was talking with a Christian friend about religion and I innocently and uncaring stated that Jesus may have been conceived by a Roman soldier (possibly by rape) and that's why I think he learned through suffering to love his enemies no matter how much evil they did ... poor woman became flooded with the terror of what just witnessed and of being somewhat part in such a blasphemy and she was totally unable to talk to me even on other topics in that day ... it can be confidently stated her thinking / spirit was not as free as mine

Yeah it's sad how locked people can get into their beliefs, that they are scared to consider other ideas. I grew up in a religion that was like that to an extreme. Really hard to get your mind deprogrammed from that. I still have moments where I hesitate, because of a weird sense of guilt.
