Because we need the strength to believe in ourselves
Good answer.

Even at times when I feel unwanted, one thing comes to mind about you all. We all have our faults and particular afflictions we need help with. Everyone here has a good heart and is always ready to help in the best way they know how. These facts lead me to think about something.

How can good people like you all possibly be lonely and awkward in social situations? I wish I had friends irl like you people are to me here.

Yeah.

I've wished so too, Jason. That's apparently not the way life works. We're all dispersed for some reason... for a reason at least, I believe.

I've noticed something. Especially in the issues section. We all seem to give great advice to help others with the very same problems we are suffering from. If we are able to offer such great advice to others, why can't we take that same advice and use it to get well ourselves? Why join a forum such as this if we all have the solutions?:)

It's difficult to put our solutions to use. It takes time and effort. Knowing what to do doesn't mean we can change things overnight. We can still be here while we slowly try to fix our problems.

Because we're not objective enough. When you're thinking about your problems, you have a different appreciation of them and you're missing a lot of factors that could affect the way you perceive things.

However, when it's about someone else, your perception is totally different.

Echoing 'flaneur', with 6000+ posts you have put a lot of yourself into these forums - not that there's anything wrong with that. I like the fact that someone has the guts to invest themselves here rather than just vent post when the chips are down then leave. The place needs regulars and it's not as though it's all "me me me" with you either.

But now you feel a bit exposed and paranoid. Why over-analyse it?

Hi rdor.:)

I am a very analytical person by nature. Especially because I'm a chess player. I like to examine things and learn things from it.
What can I say? It's just the kind of person I am.
