Here we see a female nerd singing about her stalkerish obsession with the top notch Alpha pretty boy jock of her school. Mind you, this is Taylor Swift, not Ke$ha, Katy Perry, or one of the Jersey Shore girls. Swift is supposed to be the "sweet innocent girl" of the media.

Women from age 13 to 22 look up to these celebrities, and role model from their behavior. I bet none of you think this video by Taylor Swift is "shallow", you all probably think it's about "young love".

Imagine the OUTCRY that would exist if this was about some unathletic gamer dork who's obsessed with the head cheerleader... half the audience would say "OH HE'S SOOOOO SHALLOW AND SUPERFICIAL!" and the other half would say "EWWWWWWWW THAT UGLY DORK THINKS HE HAS A CHANCE!!! WHAT A STALKER!!!"

More proof to the fact that regular girls would rather date the top-notch Alpha and share him with other girls than date guys in their own league. Remember, I'm not angry that that's how it is, I just think guys need to be reminded to WORK THEIR ***** OFF to get to the top league, or else EVERY WOMAN you date, you will be sharing with one of these guys. She will always be looking into your eyes, and seeing him.

If it is a mainstream theme accepted and even PROMOTED by our PC media, then it's obviously a very REAL phenomenon.

Watch the video carefully, gentlemen. Does the video game dork get the hot cheerleader in the end? NO! The Alpha Pretty Boy steals a dorky girl from YOUR pond. Wake up, and smell the coffee, and fight for membership to the top leagues.

Man a bunch of chicks playing football would be pretty hot. But I think the male cheerleaders in short skirts would be somewhat funny.

....PROBLEM?

I see what you are saying. And I agree that girls like alpha males. But you have to remember that it's never really as simple as alpha/not-alpha.

I personally think that geeky/dorky guys do not need to change the way they look, but they DO need to change a bit of the way they act. They do need to be confident enough to ask a girl out and to do the work involved in chasing a girl. Because you are right, if they don't they may be alone for a very long time.

Honestly though, even though I am attracted to good looking men, and it may even been easier for a good looking guy to 'woo' me, ultimately if an average good looking guy showed a real interest in me... I would definitely consider going out with him JUST as much as I would consider the good looking guy (this is me talking about how I thought when I was single).

But the truth is HE would have to show that interest. There are girls who are not that interested in looks. Many in fact. I dont think most girls rank looks as importantly as you think we do. I agree that we are attracted sexually to good looking guys, but when actually choosing a mate.. it goes pretty far down on the list. Unless their looks are VERY different from the norm. I mean I was pretty in love with my husband before I even saw a picture of him.

But you are right.. that video is messed up.

1) He did not even ask her to the prom
2) He just wrote 'I wish you were'

Gah, in the long run that guy would annoy the hell out of her. Part of being alpha is being decisive enough to know who you want and go after her. He did not go after her. Maybe he thought she was too lame or something.

Yes, he is really cute.. dorky looking but cute!!!

That answer is just based on looks. Based on his looks I would date him, but it really would depend on his personality. And he would have to actually approach me and tell me that he likes me for things to start... unless I got to know him as a friend and just loved him so much that I decided to take the chance and tell him. Most likely he would have to tell me that he is interested in me though... cause if he doesnt then I would think.. he is not interested and even if I liked him I would probably think.. he doesnt like me.

Would you date him?

Honestly X...you have more heart than I do....

The truth of the matter is...I dont think or worry too much about those dorky basturds. I dont lose any sleep over it thats for sure.
I fyou dont get *****..they dont get *****. I aint to to twist their fcken arms...

I think women have that same mentallly as I do. Becua not only dose a male has to have balls to get her..He also has to complete against the other males...for surviival...food, shelter, money..etc.
If a male aint a go get her..He aint a go getter.

She might have her motherly instink to fix a guy..but actually give a dork a ******** ..thats another story..

There are most certainly double standards concerning creepiness when it comes to men. Is this a new thing? Not so sure. Does that make it right? No, it doesn't. But I'm not so sure that men are the only people who suffer from double standards in society.

I've complained for a long time that was a white, hetero, christian-upbrought, able-bodied, traditional American male...that I am pretty much despised by people who don't even know me and it's ok to discriminate against me because reverse discrimination doesn't count, right?

I've been laughed at applying for jobs because I was white (government jobs) and literally told not to plan on getting a call back because of my color. Is that discrimination?

I live in a world where people of Christian faith are compared to Islamo-Fascists who behead, stone, press, maul to death, and genitally mutilate people, because some Christians are overbearing and pushy with their faith. Is that right?

In a highschool class, I was one of two white kids in an all black classroom. They mocked us and called us crackers, honkeys, and chickens. Does that count?

I could go on and on...

But I think we all suffer from one form or another of discrimination in this life. The goal is to try to be enlightened enough to not be one of the discriminators.

If one girl called the cops on you for talking to her, that means that all the others didn't, right? Or has every woman you've ever shown an interest in reported you for sexual harassment?

I'm a technician in the building trades, HVAC, plumbing, electrical. You should see what some of the women brave enough to come into my field have to endure. It ain't right, but it happens. There was a female technician that started at a local company here as a pipefitter, the first time she couldn't turns a wrench on a 4" high pressure gas line fitting, the entire crew sat their tools down and refused to help her. She walked off the job.

We'd all be a little better off if we didn't discriminate.

No we wouldnt...

Its mother nature ways of rooting out the sick. the weak N dying. To keep life in balance. Humans are not examp from these natural orders..

The earth will remain as spicies comes and go..

Oneday too..the earth will die and returns to star dust as many planet had come N go.

All this is is stereotypical ********. The way a person dresses or acts does NOT mean that they are unworthy, it doesn't mean that someone totally opposite of them couldn't love them or want them. As far as the pic you posted, based on only looks, yeah, i would give him a chance, but looks aren't everything.

Get off your damn high horse, i mean seriously, wtf. For all that you go around posting that you are hot **** and know everything, sorry, but you're not and you don't. All this PUA **** does for you is make you look like a complete *******.

if you care for someone, just ******* go for it. Stop worrying about looks, stop worrying about what other people will think. WHO THE **** CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK!!!! It's not about looks, it's about what/who makes you happy.

For the grace of god there go i.
Im so grateful Im not a fucken dork:p

Its not any different than you seeing a homeless person...you might handout a buck or might not...but you do go home feeling gratful for what you have...

Wow X your view on a dork is jaded. How do you even know that guy is a dork, he could be a star basketball player for all you know. Looks mean nothing. You just assume because of his big ears, messy haircut, bad teeth and glasses that he has to be a dork. Not saying he's not but don't judge a book by its cover is what I'm saying, and it is exactly what these music videos rarely ever do. They just show the media perception of what a dork and jock should look like.

Dude, this is just rediculous. Nobody who has an ounce of social skills would go out in public groomed like that. Or with their mouth hanging open.

This board is starting to make my blood pressure rise, I'm not kidding. People here seem so wrapped up in some ideal that doesn't exist, and so paranoid of sounding the least bit shallow that nothing gets accomplished. In addition to that, everyone is taking everything I say out of context and putting words in my mouth like I support 100% of PUA and promote steroid use, which is obviously not true.

My purpose on this board no longer has anything to do with me. I'm not going to let the people here brainwash involuntarily single dudes into thinking that its okay to be ugly, okay to be a passive, pushover male, and okay to be weird and socially awkward, and tell them some inane fairytale about how they will find this cute girl whose "right for them", when in reality they would end up with a stalking charge for talking to her.

All you really need is confidence. When people say "just be yourself" they mean be yourself but with confidence. Even the ugliest of people can find a partner but the confidence is usually what does it. Also, but this is obvious, look like you give a damn about yourself... just dress as if you care and stay clean.

Getting ripped may attract more women but the women you will be attracting because of this are most likely materialistic and shallow. Being buffed or not shouldnt be a reason why a women would go out with you they should go out with you for your personality, it should be the same with men or women, but unfortunatly in this world people are way too materialistic most of the time.

That music video is incredibly stereotypical, it is so unbelievably black and white that it makes me want to puke up a wall so i can headbutt it in disgust. This is media for your though, it is not realistic, it is a music video and not a documentary on how quantum physics works.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate and try to see it from a woman's point-of-view for a minute.

Guys, are you usually attracted to a very masculine woman? I mean one that dresses like a man, swaggers like a man, rolls her sleeves up like a man? No, you probably aren't, and if you are, you are the exception. Now, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the butch look. I've got butch lesbian friends and family members. But, me, personally as a man, I'm not attracted to that. Why? Because it's MASCULINE.

What do you think a guy looks like when he walks up to a woman fearfully, stuttering, he won't look at her, he hunches his back, and twiddles his hands, his voice gets high and timid, etc? He looks FEMININE. If we aren't attracted to masculine women, why does it make women evil when they aren't attracted to feminine men? Or should I say "boys". Women aren't evil because they want a man, not a boy or a girl.

It's the same thing, there is no double standard on that.

All these references to the ripped, studly, well-dressed, greek god thing are a little over the top because the one feature that is omitted from that description every time is that the guys are also confident and masculine.

joseph gets it!

all i am trying to say to X is that looks are just not that important in a male. Most guys... if they acted right could woo most girls. It's just that most guys don't act that way.

And that is fine, i'm sure most guys dont want to woo most girls. But if you are a guy who wants to woo a girl..or many girls then yes some of what X says makes sense... but in my opinion.. the looks part is just not true.

I know NO woman who has decided to date a guy because he is hot. We may have crushes on guys because they are hot, we may stutter around guys because they are hot, we may fantasize about guys because they are hot.

But ultimately we date the guys who simply have enough confidence to
1) ask us out
2) try to woo us

..and who we like for whatever reason (yes looks may play a part... but not a HUGE part). And for most girls that I know... and I went to ALLLLL GIRLS schools all my life.. well till 20. Yes for most girls the looks thing is basically.. is he tall or short? And that is it. Muscles play no role whatsoever. Due to stereotypes many even find the skinny/geeky look way more hot than the model look... because geeky means smart which is a valuable male asset.

But he cant be too geeky, because even though being smart is valuable, confidence is important... if he does not have enough confidence that can be difficult to deal with.
