So recently I have been planning my training for next year. I am still deciding on what I want to do. However, that is my choice. Anyway one route I am considering is building muscle. So I have been doing a lot of research on how to build muscle. -_- should be challenging. Anyway I happened upon this article. I figured I should post it here. I think it might help some people... not sure who... but some people...

its not so much the weight you pull... more emphasis on form. at first, your smaller / less active muscles are weak and are needed to stabilize and exercise so start with manage-able weights and focus on form - MIND & BODY. and squeeze for a second or two at the end of the rep. it really burns
- do bruce lee sets. dont start counting until it starts to burn. cuz thats when it only starts to count

As you get used to the exercise, you naturally can do more reps... at which point is a good time to try something heavier.

compound exercises really help promote muscle growth / testosterone levels and metabolism. from personal experience, they work really well at shaping the lower half of the body. (love handles) that is impossible to get rid of with other exercises....

As far as diet is concerned, I keep things healthy.... eat when I am hungry... so 3-5times a day...
I am not strict on diet. Guys need the fat to make testosterone and the meat to repair muscles... cant run on lean...
But you also dont need an excess of it either... so.... I guess everyone has to figure it out themselves....

^_^ Everyone is kind of missing the point as to why I posted this... but I guess a fitness discussion is ok too.

@kamya: The lift big portion will help you burn fat. The eat big portion not so much. If you want weight loss you need a calorie deficit.

I've never followed any rules. I just work out from time to time lol.

yes rules HELP you achieve goals faster

but having the knowledge and motivation is key to sticking with the plan. and sometimes rules can get in the way of it all... if you follow the wrong rules, or a plan that doesnt fit you personally..
