I went on holiday and this song played just before covid and all these old couples in their 80’s danced slowly to this, together for over 40 and 50 years… scares me to think how many of them lost their life partner ugh why do I do this to myself ?

I was raised on this music when I was with my mom (grandmother) I never really had friends she was the one I was able to converse with it shaped my mind and ideas I love Oldies

yea It is unfortunate to lose someone you love at any age, but I see what you're saying but they never truly are dead they live on though their loved ones and their family

Have you listened to some of these songs? what do you think about them? not your taste? I would like everyone to feel welcome in my threads that why I try to make different ones for others to interact with (feel comfortable around me and others who have similar tastes.)

I love these songs, they are so romantic and the singers, back then... wow they really could sing, no autotune like today lol something so rustic, so authentic so beautiful... I really like this thread, I have a deep connection with music.
