It will merge your posts if they are within a certain number of minutes of each other (and no posts in between), but you being able to quote 9006's post before he made it was quite a trick.

I would guess that drama responded so quickly after your post that a hiccup caused her posts to merge, moving the quote before the original.

No the original posts were at the same time. Here response came later. Maybe it had to do with both the originals being at the same time so it still thought a merge was called for.
