Time with my daughter

I texted the ex today to see if my daughter could come over after I got off work. I have not seen her in a couple of day and wanted to spend time with her. She told me that she couldn't because she had a play date. I didn't push the issue because if she really had a play date with another friend from school I don't want to take her from that or her friends. I am not sure if the ex made it up or or she really had a play date. This is what happens when you have to much time on your hands, you sit around and over think things.

A play date is what they call it when younger kids hang out. She six year old, she won't start hanging out until two to three years from now. She growing up to fast!!!!

The next time you see your daughter, ask her how the play date went. Kids are generally honest when they don't think they're going to get in trouble.

I asked her the following weekend how was the play date, and she that she did not go because she was sick. Now I am trying to figure out why her mother did not just tell me she was sick?

Your relationship with your daughter is now in the control of your ex. Lets hope she decides to play fair. If it keeps happening you might want to find a lawyer to help you out.

It's possible she felt sick when the time came to go over to the friend's house. Children have a way of being suddenly too sick to do stuff. My daughter has vomited out of seemingly nowhere, causing us to change plans at the last minute. She obviously had one scheduled, since she wasn't all, "Huh? What play date?"

If that's what happened, the ex probably didn't see any point in contacting you to say, "Play date was canceled because she's sick. Wanna drag her out anyway and watch her suffer?"
