I'm glad to see that you edited your original post a couple of times to remove name calling and aggression.
if nothing else, this thread may have made some people think a bit more about there own posts. temporarily..
although you missed the point of mine.
when stating the precieved standards of this forum, i used the commonly known acronym "imho" which means "in my honest opinion" and so I was not dictating nor claiming to be the moral guide for this place. simply stating what my perceptions where. and I have just as much a right to wish for a higher standard of comments as you do to insist on lower standards.
I don't see anywhere in my comments where I am demanding anything. so lets not put words in my mouth just to try and diminish my point of view.

the point ot telling people i'm leaving should be fairly clear. hopefully it makes people think a bit more about off handed remarks and that just because YOU don't see a problem with it, doesnt mean other people feel the same. who is the one really trying to dictate the standards here?
it's not all about that dumb conspiracy thread. its the general carelessness of comments that builds up on people. as I said, I have done it too and was reminded of why we should be watching our tounges here. I guess I could have just brushed him off and told him to have a thicker skin, toughen up, grow some balls, walk it off. does that attitude sound familliar to anyone reading this?
does that kinda talk help people around here?

That assumes people should care about your presence more than any other relatively new member. I’m not sure why anyone should considering that you and monkeysox seem to spend a good portion of your time admonishing people all over the place for minor jokes, non-existent insults and topics that don’t fit your definition of acceptable for the site.

An opinion it might be, yet it's communicated with such a tone of self-importance that you nobody could be blamed people for getting annoyed. It would be interesting to know what “name calling” there was in my original post, and if I were to be insulting I might suggest that your pompous tone along with the false offence taken at every opportunity are indicative of a narcissistic personality defect; offence is taken at just about anything to get the desired attention and respect.

I’m just glad that the moderators on this site are a little more stable.

OK. Does EVERYONE now see why I said these kinds of threads are pointless and generally end up getting closed? If you have an issue with the forum or someone on it, PM a moderator, don't make a thread about it. It never, EVER, ends well. I also think this one has been left open long enough for anyone who is interested in commenting to do so.
