Sleeping on the job, eh!

*Casts lonelyfairy into the oblivion of unemployment hell*

Back to the pits of the modern-day hell that is KELA and the unemployment office! :p

Haha. :D

Sleeping is my passion.... :shy:

But that is a good point! KELA is kind of annoying, mhm. >_<

But there has to be a job, where I can sleep, right...?

I still want to be the manager of a Major League Baseball team. granted, i'm not out in the real world yet for my dreams to get crushed, but maybe i just won't know better than to fail.

i also used to want to be a rapper, oddly enough.

I can understand wanting to be a baseball player or a coach, but what kind of satisfaction can managing a baseball team provide? And why not being a rapper anymore?

Manager as in field manager. The head coach in baseball is typically called the manager, much like soccer if i'm not mistaken, because they do more calling the shots than instruction.
With that said, I'd like to be a GM too and call the shots from the standpoint of putting a team together, and a development organization together to build a championship caliber team. so there's your answer in two different instances.

i haven't written a full song in over a year, nor do i have the technology at hand to record, make tracks, etc. i don't have the income at my disposal to purchase it either. its also a controversial craft. if i were to put myself out there with it, i could get myself blackballed from other opportunities to advance myself.

Fine, I'm a dreamer. I'd like to move somewhere in the middle of nowhere to start a nonprofit organisation and to run some community environmental and educational projects :)

It's fun to see this thread after two years. Well, while I still think I'd like to do some nonprofit educational work, I'm studying nursing at the moment and dreaming of working as a oncology nurse at some point in the future.

create media artifacts that change the lives of many people, working on it
in reality all I wanted to be was a singer, but that ain't going to happen

Seems like all you want to do is help people:) That is nice:)

I have few dream options:D....I´d like to be:
A scientist. - Cant happen, as I´m nowhere near smart enough.
A writer - Doubtful, but hey, man can dream, right?
A reading cafe owner - Owning a small cafe/library, where I can be grumpy at costumers, so it has a nice atmosphere. Seen something similar in this thread already;)

What is that? :-o

Why? :-o

Some kind of job that would allow me to travel around the world easily. It's boring for me to be fixed in one location for too long (which is the case right now). My dream is to be a musician but it's just a dream. It won't happen. I'm planning to work in tourism industry though.

I think if someone is persistent enough, being a musician is within their reach. I imagine that you can not live completely of it, but still can have a lot of satisfaction. My friend (Canadian) set up her own relatively successful band in Europe and she seems to manage somehow. Of course, she does some other jobs like translations, but primarly she's a musician, even if it's not her main source of income. Working in tourism with your passion for other cultures and languages sounds great too

A scientist - me too, but don't say about not being smart enough, because I would have to admit defeat as well :)

A reading cafe owner - absolutely yes!

Thank you ^^ I like the kind of comments which encourage me to go after my dreams even if they look too difficult for me.

to all those who would like to be musicians, why is that? Because of the music, the spotlight, the kind of lifestyle... just curious

For me, it's mostly because of music as a form of art. I love arts. I would love to use creativity in my job. I like architecture, fashion, drawing and literature but they are not as satisfying as music to me. I think touring is also a great aspect of being a musician.
