I hate society because of how it functions, the invisible social rules it has. -_-

Once a majority of people think they have you all figured out as being weak and incompetent, you're branded permanently with what they perceive of you. There's no possibility of being accepted by anyone. And you will be plagued by their resent at every turn.

Well said. I notice some of these invisible social rules in places I go. Society, in all it's forms, can be rather unfair.

No, however I do think life is not fair. and for most part people are selfish, and only think of themselves.. just simply not giving a damn about you, me, or anyone else. so that is Society being unfair.. self, self, self... !

I don't let Society pick on me. In fact, I will not allow anyone to pick on me .. and walk away intact.

I use to think it must be me.. its my fault i have no friends, its my fault no one likes me, been told more than enough, now im at the point where i believe its everyone else thats weird , its everyone else that just is not worth the time of day

ugh... my manager has decided to bring his wife and new baby in to work to show everyone. as if I care about seeing someone's happy family. This is how society tortures me. by showing me how happy everyone else is.

on the plus side, since I'm the group outcast (in that they have me sitting away from the rest of the group) I didn't have to worry about being introduced since they have a habit of forgetting I am here.

It’s not so much the happy family thing that irritates me (actually I feel happy seeing a family like that) but instead when female colleagues bring in their children and leave them with me (because I’m good with children apparently) then the questions start of why I don’t have kids of my own, why aren’t I married, would I like to be a father etc.

I have fun looking after the kids then get reminded that somewhere down the line I messed up and ended up alone, it’s like a punch in the face each and every time.

I get depressed just seeing females so when coworkers/managers bring in their wife it's even worse.
then they bring in a baby. it's like "look what I have. it's something you will never have! ha ha ha!"

I don't have to have a baby left with me to get questions about why I don't have one.

I've had a coworker last year go around the building and drag females to my desk, proceed to tell them I was a 37 year old virgin, and that they needed to give me advice on what women want.

For me it's something like the opposite. I have kids but not the marriage or professional successful life you're supposed to get before becoming a parent, so I get the other side of annoying questions.

what happens when you happen to pick on yourself? ;)

I'm hard on myself, this being mostly the sometimes-controlling OCD. I pick on myself when I'm slapdash at my writing. And it's not a pleasant feeling.
