Hypergamy

I was reading this article about hypergamy. Which is the idea that women only go for men of higher status who earn more than them.

It kind of made me depressed about my job. I get paid fine and have good benefits but in NYC my income is considered very low.

I just feel like I'll never be able to find a relationship again but don't really know how to go about getting a higher status.

Yup.. that's why there are cashiers and office temps complaining about men who "don't have goals".

Feminism today goes beyond basic human rights and equality. Women aren't obliged to settle and would rather remain bitter and alone. When relationships do occur it's entirely on their terms. Women can end relationships without warning or good reason and society doesn't judge this because their feelings are pedestaled. Over 2/3 of divorces are filed by women, with 'irreconcilable differences' being the main reason.

It's true for the most part.

I mean all the men I work with with are all married but they are mostly Dominican, I think the dynamics are really different in that culture.

It's true. My marriage was ended just out of nowhere pretty much, I never saw it coming.

Even my own mother left my father for her boss just out of nowhere and her boss had a lot more money.

I can only see this thread turning into another woman bashing thread, we don't allow gender bashing here. It angers up too many people and reinforces too many stereotypes.
