Every once in awhile I get the urge to get back onto dating websites. I tried a few websites a few years ago and met quite a few nice men (no hanky-panky, everything was very innocent) but nothing panned out. Had a few disastrous meetups too. I also had a difficult time coordinating my personal life so that I could meet people. I obviously can't bring my child on multiple dates with new men so I would always worry about who would look after her while I went out.
So I decided to dump dating indefinitely. Over time, I've also come to believe that it's probably better to meet people organically in real life instead of via a few selfies and carefully crafted profiles.
However, I've heard that, for some reason, this time of year is prime-time for people to join dating websites and I've been seeing a lot of ads enticing me to join! I almost logged onto match.com but was able to stop myself. Anyone else feel the same way?

I agree that probably its better, if possible, to meet people organically in real life-none of the excrutiating awkwardness of being on a date with someone you haven't met before and are together with purely because you both want a relationship-but at the same time for many people if we waited for it to happen naturally, we would get no dates. I think that joining a dating site is a good idea but keep up going out in 'real life' as well.

I think it all depends on if you've had some success with online dating. If you have then give it go !
Myself ? I would never, EVER do it again.
