I play video games (mostly Sea of Thieves and Dead by Daylight) but have not been on for very long since moving overseas. The time difference is making it hard to connect with old gaming buddies.

Okay, in fairness, I'm over 50 and squeal like a little girl when I'm being chased by the killer in this game. Best way to play is to find four friends to go against the killer. If not, there's no way to know what your teammates are trying to do. Definitely takes a team effort. I've played alone before, but it wasn't near as fun. I've never played as a killer. Best I could tell you is to watch someone stream it or clips and see if it interests you.

I also enjoy writing, I feel about my writing as you said, I don't believe I could take it up as a job, but I do enjoy it. The worst.mistake I made was telling someone and show someone my writing, after that, I was called autistic. So keep it private to you, you leave yourself open to being mocked. To the point they say they think it's good as a positive reinforcement, but they are only doing that so you write more so they can laugh at your writing. Don't fall into that trap. I would never laugh at anyone's writing, unless it was meant to be comical.
