How do men really feel about women who are very independent?
Are you looking for a damsel in distress type of situation where you can swoop in and "save the day"?

I'm cool with it.
More often than not, I'm the one that needs saving
(which I know now that that's not how it's supposed to be, so I need to fix that).

Also I think independence is alright, because I need time to myself to work on my own life.
So it's OK if they do the same.
My life is not already "set" and I can just ride it out, there's still a lot I have to figure out.
We can have our time apart doing our own thing, and then come back together and have more stuff to talk about.

Although, when I have talked to some women, and they do give off "damsel in distress" vibes, it does make me feel protective of them, and it's a kind of warm and mushy feeling. It can amplify the feelings of a crush I was having already.

Honestly I'm pretty relaxed about things in general.
It's really only "sleeping with other guys" is the thing I don't like -
which would make me feel disrespected/humiliated to my core, and put me at risk of disease.
