The problem with this road is that it's completely obscured, to the point of total blindness.
At absolutely no point do you ever know whether it's another 10 freaking years, or only one more step through the darkness and you will have reached your goal. I think that's the biggest resentment. If you were only granted the ability to see how far and how long it's stretched out in front of you, you could make a worthy decision. As it stands, you have to rely on your faith, on your trust, on what other people promise, and on your gut instinct on the matter. It's not fair (not from a human point of view). It's a heavy veil indeed, probably one of the thickest we'll ever encounter.
Somewhere, in a different part of the universe, I like to think we're all sitting in a future time frame, chuckling about all this. "Oh, look at me there: Writing this with tears in my eyes."
I pray I'm being guided.
