Absolutely not.
Inherent ability is definitely a thing.
But you don't have to be Tom Brady.
As I stated in a previous comment on this site.
I'm no Edsger Dijkstra. Not even close.
But I worked hard enough to become a good enough computer programmer to make an "upper middle class" living.
Too many people "shoot for the stars".
Maybe it's better to strive to be financially comfortable and give yourself a decent life (at least from a monetary standpoint).
But that requires a bit of work...and knowing when to conform.
