This movie, Thunder In The Pines 1949 starring George Reeves (Superman) isn't that special, but the footage of the lumber yards and how they managed the fallen timber is amazing with all the sluices and things. I'm wondering how they stacked the piles!

Yes I agree. I was wondering what the go was with that young mother, maybe being something unscrupulous, but she just turned out to be a poor victim.
