Never said the US is an elixir. But it gives you options and opportunities. Both does not exist in Europe (anymore). It's a dying region - economically, politically, culturally.

Considering how bad healthcare got in UK (and everywhere else in Europe) this is indeed not a good sign.

I thought she got through the surgery, but just decided not to return?
It was shortly after New Year's so I just thought it was a start-over point for her.

Oh man, I didn't know. I thought she just had the first one and that was it. Hopefully it went well for her.

As a side note, I miss that "era" of the forum I guess you could say.
I feel like over the course of my now ten(!) years I've been here, I've been through a lot of "eras" of this place.
Sure, it wasn't perfect, it had its issues just like any other time.
But I was having an especially bad year in my personal life, but the forum was buzzing and alive and gave me some good feelings when I needed it. Lots of interesting/fun/nice characters. I miss them.
