goddamn.

in norway, you can go on a spree and kill 90+ people...

and the maximum sentence is 21 years in prison!

WTF

those are some ******* lax laws.

(that's roughly two months per every human life)

Its the same here . You actually get more years for being a pedophile here.

Seriously, it's 21 years. 21 years! How can anyone even fathom any extended periods in prison?

i have this crazy hangup about the punishment needing to fit the crime.

I'm pretty sure that he won't ever be released. Almost certainly, the law will change just to accommodate him.

I read that - it was tragic. Only 21 years...that's a crime imo.

If he did it

He freely admitted it. He's going to announce the WHY of it in court tomorrow/today.

No. That's just the maximum he would serve IF convicted.

They shouldn't give him the opportunity to announce why he did it.

Another messed up idiot who wants to kill a bunch of kids.

He's a missionary in his own world. I can't imagine how allowing him to speak can bring anything but closure.

I agree that Norwegian laws are honeysuckle, but fortunately this man will (probably) never get out of prison. Ever. They can keep him for as long as they want to.

Yeah, that's not really so bad, though.

Norwegian prisons are a joke as far as how comfortable and accommodating they are.
