Brain after not sleeping for over 3 days "let me offer you a selection of catchy songs from the past 30 years"

Me " No, we need to go to sleep"

Brain ..... " YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND RIGHT ROUND."

Well I blew that one. No surprise.

He calls up and tells me that I have won the Readers Digest / Publishers Clearing House / this or that Sweepstakes. He seemed unclear on what I won, just that I did win.

For some reason he asks me If I remember entering the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. I tell him 'no' so he asks if I remember entering the Readers Digest Sweepstakes.

Does he think that everyone enters at least one of these things? Come on guy, set your hook and continue on.

I tell him "I didn't know that was still being publisher".

He responds with "So you don't want the prize?"

This doesn't seem to be going the way I imagine it should. Shouldn't he be doing more to reel me in?

I give up so I tell him "No."

He hangs up without a word.

Then I realize that I blew it. Just the previous week a friend was left a message on her answering machine informing her that she had won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes and had won 5.5 million dollars and a 2024 Mercedes.
She just needed to call them back.

As I said, I blew it. I wanted to know if I had done better than 5.5 million and a Mercedes of if I had just won some piddly 2 million dollars. I don't care about collecting the prize, I just wonder what I had won.

They never bothered to call the scammer back.

Winners aren't notified in that manner
and they never entered to begin with.

What do you call learning a person's routine in order to avoid them? Is it like Antistalking?.

I used to think dating a neighbour was a good Idea, I was wrong kids. Unless you are happy to let them annoy the f*ck out of you for the rest of your life steer clear. You live and learn, ain't life grand.

OMG this is the 4th night in a row I've stayed up until 2am, even though I've been getting up before 9am. And I"m supposed to go on a mountain bike ride tomorrow, I mean today. I'm off to bed. Nite y'all.

G'night big fella sweet dreams ;)

hopefully today's purchases of a cheap dropper post and a wider handlebar will make my riding more pleasant for a while instead of spending thousands on a new bike. after stacking my bike on a ride yesterday, I'm wondering if I should spend money on a new bike at all.

Thinking that things are always testing me. I decided to take my wife out to dinner. I played several conversation scenarios through my head, but decided to not worry about any of it and just play it by ear and go with the flow. The evening was going nicely. Nice ambiance, nice food, good drinks.........then my youngest daughter called from her work asking if we can collect her and take her home because she wasn't feeling well. So, the abrupt end to the night spoiled it a bit .........
